Ballinagh cruise victory against Knockbride

In a game that always seem to be in their favour, Ballinagh cruise victory against Knockbride in the U12 Roinn C league final last Sunday in Kingspan.

Ballinagh got the first score on the board in the first minute when their midfeilder Colin McCabe gave a long fist pass toward goal and picked out Cormac Timoney.

Knockbride's Cian Carlon replied to level the score but Ballinagh proved the the better team by sailing over 8 unanswered points from Sean Keating, Colin McCabe, Darren Lynch and Barry Connolly.

The teams went in at half time with a score standing at; Ballinagh 0-9, Knockbride 0-2.

Knockbride came out and got the first score but it followed by a goal goal by Timoney when the gaol drop to him following a stong run by Keating towards goal and the corner forward made no mistake when sloting it passed the goalie.

Knockbride proved they were not giving up and replied with a goal after substitute Niall McCabe layed it off to Patrick Rodger who neatly snuck the ball between Cillian Finnegan's legs. Rodger convered another point along with Roy Donohoe after Ballinaghs Keating sloted over yet another point this from a free.

It seemed Knockbride where getting back into the game but after 20 minutes Ballinagh started to score and it didn't seem to stop. Timoney scored another goal from a rebound of Keatings effort. McCabe and Keating continued the scoring spree.

Knockbride registered thier final score of the match, Cillian Finnegan pulled of a good save after Patrick Rodgers struck the ball along the ground but Roy Donohoe was thier to finish it off.Keating scored a brilliant goal to finish of the game.

For the champions, Ballinagh, McCabe had a huge impact on the game from midfield and while corner forward Timoney took his chances clinically , it was playmaker Keating who was man of the match that gave a superb performance throughout.
